Meet The Need Form

Greater Portland Bible Church,

This year God has blessed our church greatly and has overfilled our storehouses! I really am in awe of your faithful hearts that are so generous to see great Kingdom expansion in our neighborhood, in our city, and in our world. Thank you!

We truly believe that God has blessed us for such a time as this. There are many around us that have lost jobs, have had to shut down businesses, that are unable to pay rent or other bills. During this COVID-19 Pandemic, Greater Portland Bible Church has a strong desire to be a blessing to those that are suffering and struggling. Furthermore, we want to empower you to be the salt and light that Jesus has called us to be.

In order to do that we have put together a $10,000 missional fund we are calling, “Meet The Need.”

The heart for “Meet The Need” is to reveal the love of Jesus to the world through his bride, the church. This missional fund is one of the ways we want to love our neighbor during COVID-19. This fund is meant to encourage you, as the church, to see your neighbors, coworkers, friends, family, or any other people in your life that has a need that our church may be able to assist in.

Here is the link to the application on our website to fill out on someone’s behalf that will be sent directly to the elders. The elders will then see how we can love and care for those that are in your life.

Meet The Need Form

If you, as a faithful member of GPBC, have a need of your own, we have a separate benevolence fund to care for you. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance by reaching out to our Elder Team ( ) or any of the pastors or leaders in the church.

I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:6-8: ”The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

Greater Portland Bible Church, you have loved your church well. Now let us be spurred into action to love our neighbor cheerfully and joyfully!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Greg
