"Who do you say that I am?” – Jesus Christ
The most important question ever asked. Our answer not only determines our future but also how we live every day of our lives. But first, we have to know: who is Jesus? What did He say and do while He was on earth? Why should that matter to me today?
Whether you are just meeting Jesus for the first time or if you have known Him for years, the Scripture and in-depth, thoughtful questions in The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ will help you apply His truth to your life.
It’s time for you to answer the question Jesus still asks us today. How will you respond?
Women, join us for The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ, Part 2,. Our study begins Tuesday, September 10 at 9:30am for brunch OR 6:30pm for dinner. Cost for the study is $35 for the morning and evening study. Childcare is available for the morning sessions only. Registration is open online. We look forward to seeing you there!
Women’s Summer Study: Taste and See
God's focus on food in the Bible is meant to do more than satisfy your stomach. It’s meant to heal your soul and draw you closer to Christ. This spiritual adventure could change the way you read the Bible forever...and the way you approach every meal. Let’s taste and see God’s goodness as we go on a culinary exploration of Scripture together this summer on Tuesday evenings, June 11 through July 23, 6:30-8:30 in the Deschutes Room.
Come Away: A Garden Retreat
Tuesday, August 13, 9:30am OR 6:30pm
Women, come away, rest your soul as you meet with Jesus in the Wachsmuth garden (11424 SW 47th Ave, Portland) on Tuesday, August 13. We'll enjoy a short devotional and learn how to and begin creating a personalized monthly prayer guide. (Journal provided.) Join us at either 9:30-11:30am or 6:30-8pm. Light refreshments provided. Please sign up with by email or in the lobby beginning July 21.
"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed".) The Women's Ministry Team provides an occasional"Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.
Women, be sure you reserve Saturday, October 5 (10am), through Sunday, October 6 (2pm), for this year’s retreat at Aldersgate Retreat Center in Turner. This great weekend of fellowship, worship, and learning will cost $120-$140 per person (based on number sharing a room) and includes four meals. Lobby registration will be held July 7, 14, and 21, and then again in the fall. Online registration available any time.
