Women's Christmas Brunch

Saturday, December 3, 2022

Ladies, the annual Women's Christmas Brunch is coming right up! Kick off your Christmas season with a morning of festive fun. We’ll have Christmas crafts, delectable food, music and worship, a chocolate fountain, and more. Not to mention a special speaker TBA!

Childcare is free and available for kids 10 and under for those who pre-register children by Monday, November 28. Girls 11 and older would love to join moms, grandmothers, aunts, or mentors at the brunch, and we would love to have them, so be sure to invite them as well!

Cost is $10/person attending the brunch (not in childcare). Register in the app or online at pdxchurch.org/events/reg.

Women's Small Group Bible Study

God of Covenant: A Study of Genesis 12-50 by Jen Wilkins
9:30-11:30am | Deschutes Room
Cost: $30

Hey, ladies, you are invited to join us Tuesday mornings for some quality God time! We'll be going through God of Covenant: Study of Genesis 12-50. Beginning with Genesis 12, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Cost: $30. Register online or in the app. Our groups are in all different ages, stages, and places in our lives, but we all want to learn to love God more deeply and each other more genuinely. I hope you'll come join us...you simply will enjoy a warm, safe, friendly atmosphere where God's Word is clearly discussed. We offer loving childcare in the morning group. Questions? Contact Kathy Anderson at 971-409-0004.

Elijah: Faith and Fire by Priscilla Shirer
6:30-8:30pm | Clackamas Room
Cost: $15 for food, materials free

Every fervent believer longs to summon up the kinds of boldness and faith that can stand firm. Join Priscilla Shirer and Tuesday Evening Women's study as we work through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mt. Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now. This study is continued from the Fall term. Questions? Contact Crystal. No childcare is available for evening. Cost is $15.

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed.") The Women's Ministry Team provides  an occasional "Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.
