Psalm 23: The Shepherd With Me, by Jennifer Rothschild
Psalm 23 is a spiritual lullaby that your Shepherd sings over you in every situation and in every season. It's a Psalm for those of us who know we need a Shepherd and I don't know about you but I need a Shepherd. We need to be made to lie down in green pastures to rest. We need to be led by a still water to find peace.
Join us for this eight week study. You have the option of joining us in-person on Tuesday mornings (9:30-11:30am) or in the evenings (6:30-8:30pm) at GPBC or over Zoom at 2pm. (The Zoom option will not include the video.) The cost is $20 and you can register here.
(Our in-person meetings will practice all health recommendations for groups including social distancing and masks.)
Special days of getting away from it all for special attention to prayer and connection to God are scheduled, normally annually. Stay tuned for the next prayer renewal event.
"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed.") The Women's Ministry Team provides an occasional"Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.
Stay tuned for our 2021 retreat date!
