Opportunities to Connect

Women's Small Group Bible Study

TUESDAY MORNING - Fall term
"God of Creation" by Jen Wilkins
Begins Tuesday, September 6 | 9:15-11:30am | Deschutes Room

Hey, ladies, you are invited to join us Tuesday mornings for some quality God time! We'll be going through God of Creation, Jen Wilkin's study of Genesis 1-11. Our groups are in all different ages, stages, and places in our lives, but we all want to learn to love God more deeply and each other more genuinely. I hope you'll come join us...you simply will enjoy a warm, safe, friendly atmosphere where God's Word in clearly discussed. We offer loving childcare in the morning group. Register here or in the app.

TUESDAY EVENING - Fall and Winter terms
"Elijah: Faith and Fire" by Priscilla Shirer
Begins Tuesday, September 13 | Deschutes Room
Cost: $10 for food, materials free

Every fervent believer longs to summon up the kinds of boldness and faith that can stand firm. Join Priscilla Shirer and Tuesday Evening Women's study as we work through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mt. Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now. This study will be for both the Fall and Winter terms. Register here or in the app. Questions? Contact Crystal. No childcare is available for evening.

Women
Join us for our final Meetup this summer and connection with other women in Joyce's garden. Joyce will give a workshop on the basics of flower arranging. We'll also have light refreshments and a devotion time together. No need to RSVP, just come and enjoy!

Retreat

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed.") The Women's Ministry Team provides  an occasional "Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.

Though we attempt to keep them at bay, chaos and uncertainty frequently invade our outer and inner worlds and deny us peace. Christ, though, has a foundational word of encouragement to us in this, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid" (John 14:27). What would it look like to respond to chaos and uncertainty in the surety of this promise?

This fall, you are invited to join other women from GPBC and Bridgeport Church at the gorgeous Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton, OR for this true 24-hr oasis for the soul. We'll start and end with a tea time on Friday and Saturday, and in between we'll linger over meals, worship, the Word of God, conversations, the gardens, and games.

The cost is $188/person and scholarships are available (don't let money prevent you from attending!). The price includes sharing a room with one other person, so grab your bestie. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration and the registration deadline is July 30 in order to secure your room at the resort. The registration form may also be used to make payments toward your balance in any amount and at any time leading up to the retreat.

Register now. Questions? Reach out to Miriam Won at or 971.322.9971.
