Women

We desire to provide opportunities for women to encourage and support one another toward personal, spiritual and relational wholeness.

Opportunities to Connect

Women's Small Group Bible Study

The morning and evening women's groups will be studying different topics:
MORNINGS
Fall study
Tuesdays, January 4-March 15 | 9:30-11:30am | Deschutes Room
Cost: $30

Ladies, you're invited to join us on January 4 as we begin the winter term of Women's Bible study with a brunch in the Deschutes Room. Come for some quality time with God and connecting with your sisters in Christ. We share a desire to grow in God's Word as well as in our friendships with each other. This winter, we'll be going through Jen Wilkin’s study in Hebrews called "Better" as we seek to understand how the Old Testament heroes and practices all point to Jesus, the fulfillment of every promise. Whether you're looking for friendship with others or a deeper relationship with God, please come and be part of Tuesday morning women's Bible study. Loving childcare provided. Cost is $30. Sign up in the app or online. Questions? Contact Kathy Anderson at 971.409.0004.

EVENINGS
Fall and winter study
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm | January 11-March 15 | Clackamas Room
Cost: $20 (for those who do not already have materials from Fall term. Free for those who continue on from the fall.)

This winter we'll continue our study called "Children of the Day: a study in 1 & 2 Thessalonians" with Beth Moore. Join us as us as we walk further along the shores of Thessalonica with this verse by verse Bible Study. Discover what it means to be children of the light and day, and be encouraged that even though it may not feel that way, you are exactly where Christ wants you to be. We will return to this journey on Tuesday, January 11 in the Clackamas Room with dinner, 6:30-8:30pm. Childcare is not available. Sign up in the app or online. Questions? Contact Crystal Livingston. Women's Christmas Brunch

Saturday, December 4
10:00am-12:30pm
GPBC Auditorium

Ladies, kick off your Christmas season with a great morning of brunch fun. We’ll have special crafts, Christmas treats, and carols/worship. We'll also be assembling special gifts of love for the church's Habitat for Humanity neighbors. Lastly, we are excited to Kimberly Middlebrooks Brune as our speaker this year. Cost is $10/person. Free childcare is available for ages 10 and younger. Older children are welcome to register to attend the brunch. Register in the lobby, app, or online through November 28.

Prayer Renewal

Special days of getting away from it all for special attention to prayer and connection to God are scheduled, normally annually. Check back for future dates.

Retreat

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed.") The Women's Ministry Team provides  an occasional "Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.

Check back in 2022 for details about our next fall retreat!
