Helping Families Follow Jesus Together!

We are excited to walk alongside families as we follow Jesus together by helping kids and their families connect to God, find their place in His Big Story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Homework Club

**Postponed until January 6, 2020 due to COVID restrictions**
As families start a new school year, we are looking forward to continuing to support students and parents through weekly Homework Club activities. Homework club meets on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 - 6 PM. We want to support students' academic and social needs while showing love to our community! All kids, ages pre-K through High School, are welcome to attend. We will have free tutors available to help students with school work. No homework? No problem! students can also use this time to build other skills including problem solving, team work, and receive computer support. Every month we will have a different focus.

Sunday Morning 11am:
Welcome to The Big God Story!

Nursery: Newborn to 3-years-old

Our nursery is a safe and caring environment for your little ones to come to as they begin to learn about God.  We have loving, smiley-faced caregivers with cuddly arms who would love to spend time with your baby/toddler as they read Bible stories, sing songs, pray, and of course play!  A nursing mother’s room is located in the nursery and is always open for your convenience.

Preschool: 3-years-old to Kindergarten

In our preschool program, kids begin to dive deeper as they learn about God and explore how they can respond to Him in a variety of transformation environments. Each week they’ll visit with engaging puppets, uncover a mystery in the Wardrobe of Wonder and learn more about Jesus through storytelling, small group interactions, team crafts and worship. They’ll leave with a blessing to carry with them through the week.

Elementary: 1st to 5th Grade

In our elementary program, kids move through a creative environment designed to spark curiosity, cultivate a sense of awe and wonder about God, and help them seek and respond to God’s work in their lives. They are encouraged to discover their place in The Big God Story through storytelling, worship, spiritual conversations, contemplative stations, and meaningful projects in both large and small groups. Teachers say a blessing over each child before they leave.

Other Events

Family Prayer Nights - on hold

Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:30pm.

The faith community of GPBC is invited to come together for our regular all-church prayer night hosted by Ignite four times each year in the Student Center. Praying together is a great way our faith family sees the Holy Spirit’s guidance as we follow Jesus together. All ages, stages, and groups are invited. The dates for 2021 are TBD.

2020 Baptism Class-on hold

So you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, what’s next? If you or your children are interested in baptism, please attend our upcoming baptism class. There you will learn what baptism is and why we are called to be baptized. We ask parents to attend the baptism class with their children to help them decide if they are ready to make this commitment to God. Baptisms for children normally take place during our Community Worship services (approximately two weeks after the baptism class). The baptism class is open to all ages! If you would like more information, visit our baptism page or email our baptism class teacher, Shirley House.

Child Dedication

Child dedication is a public sign that parents are seeking to bring their children up in the ways of Jesus, set them apart, and present them to God. By dedicating a child, a parent promises to follow God and accept His help in nurturing a vibrant faith in the life of the child. If you would like to take this important step, please contact Sally Bland to begin the process.

2020 Community Sunday Worship Services

  • February 23
  • May 24
  • August 30
  • November 29

Four times a year at GPBC the children’s and youth programs are closed so all ages and stages of our faith family can join together to worship God as one large community. In ancient Jewish culture, all children and adults participated in seven annual festivals where they were able to enjoy the broader community while remembering and celebrating what God had done. We are all enriched, young and old, when we come together in one place. There is a little more noise, a little more movement and lots of opportunities to connect with God and one another. We hope you can join us for our next community worship service!
