Parent Weekly Email (6/13/21)
New this week we are offering Children’s registration in the main lobby at church! I am very excited to announce that starting on June 27th we will be beginning our Sunday morning experience with kids and adults worshipping together in the main auditorium! After worship, the kids will be excused to their classes. I will send out more information on how this will work later in the month.
This week in Children’s Ministry we will be in Ruth learning about how God provided for Ruth and Naomi by providing a redeemer, Boaz. If you are unable to attend in-person service, you can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page, on our Greater Portland Bible Church App or on Sunday morning at 8 AM on the GP Kids Facebook Group page.
Christ Connection this Sunday: Boaz was a family redeemer. He helped his close relatives who were in trouble. Boaz cared for Ruth and Naomi because their husbands had died. In a similar way, Jesus is our Redeemer. We need help because we sin. Jesus bought our salvation for us by taking our punishment when He died on the cross.
Just a quick reminder, the deadline to register for Treasure Hunters VBS at GPBC is June 16th. CLICK HERE for more information and to register your kids (for ages 4 years old through students entering 5th grade for the 2021-22 school year).
