Parent Weekly Email (7/23/21)
I hope your family is doing well! We have a couple of family events coming up over the next few weeks and we would love for you to join us:
- GPBC Campout – The church community is camping at Barton Park next weekend (July 30th – August 1st). Even if your family isn’t camping overnight, we want to invite you to come on Saturday for some family fun! We will have kid games at 10 AM, float down the Clackamas around 1 PM followed by a community meal and bon fire!
- Bingo In The Bowl – We are excited to have our 2nd annual bingo night on Wednesday, August 11th starting at 6 PM. This event is open to all families with kids in Children’s Ministry and/or Youth Ministry. Please CLICK HERE to register your family so we can make sure to have enough pizza and prizes for everyone!
This week in Children’s Ministry we will be in 2 Samuel 6-7 learning how God made a covenant with David. If you are unable to attend in-person service, you can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page, on our Greater Portland Bible Church App or on Sunday morning at 8 AM on the GP Kids Facebook Group page.
Christ Connection this Sunday: God promised David that every future king of Israel would come from David’s family, and David’s kingdom would last forever. God kept His promise by sending His Son, Jesus, as one of David’s descendants. Jesus is our King who will rule over God’s people forever.
