GP Families! Join us for a New Year’s Eve Celebration GPBC style! We have a fun packed evening planned with laser tag, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, bingo and more. We will have pizza, drinks, and snacks! This party is open to all families with children and/or youth (Laser tag is not available for preschool aged children). The times for the event are based on your children’s ages:

  • Families with Elementary and younger kids: 7-9 PM (check-in at the bridge entrance, parents are required to attend). We will be celebrating New York New Year!
  • Families with Youth students (6th-12th grade): 8 PM – 12 AM (check-in at the Student Center, parents are not required to stay, but you should….it’s a fun event).

The cost to attend the event is $10 per person or $25 per family. Space is limited so please register soon on our church app or online at our Winter Fest Registration Page. I hope to see you there!

This week in Children’s Ministry we will learn how God renewed His promise to Abraham through Isaac in Genesis 25-26.  If you are unable to attend in-person service, you can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page, on our Greater Portland Bible Church App or on Sunday morning at 8 AM on the GP Kids Facebook Group page.

God’s covenant with Abraham continued to the next generation. Esau sold his birthright, giving Jacob the right to the wonderful blessings God promised to Abraham. Through Jacob’s family, God would send the promised Savior to bring blessing and salvation to the world. God works in mysterious ways. He works through us to show how great He is and what He can do. I encourage you to discuss as a family ways God is working through you to bless others. Attached you will find activity sheets to help your children engage with the Bible lesson this week.

Just a reminder, please bring your Operation Christmas Child boxes this Sunday, November 15th, so we can pray for them as a church. You can also bring completed boxes to the church office on Wednesday November 18th anytime from 9 AM to 6 PM.

I pray your family stays healthy and discover new ways to serve God! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

God Bless,
Sally Bland
