Weekly Parent Email (11/6/20)
I hope your family is doing well and are celebrating -- the kids (and parents) have made it through the first quarter of online learning! This week in Children’s Ministry we will learn how God provided a wife for Isaac (Genesis 24). If you are unable to attend in-person service, you can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page, on our Greater Portland Bible Church App or on Sunday morning at 8 AM on the GP Kids Facebook Group page.
When Abraham’s servant went in search of a wife for Isaac, he didn’t rely on his own strength. The servant prayed to God asking Him to reveal the right woman to marry Isaac and carry on the covenant. We can also seek out God’s guidance in our lives through prayer. We need to put our faith and trust into God’s plan, not our own. I pray your family seeks God’s direction in your life and finds joy knowing God is in control, His plan is better than our plan!
Just a reminder, please bring your Operation Christmas Child boxes on November 15th so we can pray for them as a church. You can also bring completed boxes to the church office on Tuesday November 10th and Wednesday November 18th.
