Weekly Parent Email (3/12/21)

Posted by Sally Bland on

Good morning church family, I hope the sunshine this week has brought your family joy as we look forward to the spring! This Sunday in Children’s Ministry we will explore how God creates ways for us to dwell with Him as we look at Exodus 35-40 (The Tabernacle Was Built). If you are unable to attend in-person service, you can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page, on our Greater Portland Bible Church App or on Sunday morning at 8 AM on the GP Kids Facebook Group page. You can also find fun activity pages attached to this email for your kids to engage with the Big God Story.

Christ Connection this Sunday: God instructed the Israelites to build a tabernacle where He would dwell with them. God desires to be with His people. As part of His plan to save sinners, God sent Jesus to “tabernacle,” or dwell, with people on earth.

Just as a reminder, we have the following fun family activities coming up, be sure to add them to your calendar:

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Stephen’s Creek on Saturday, March 27th at 2PM: We are looking for families to serve at this fun outreach event for our neighbors at Stephen’s Creek Crossing! We are sponsoring an egg hunt to bring joy to families and invite them to join us for Easter service. Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering!
  • Vacation Bible School: We are very excited to offer an in-person VBS this summer, July 5th – 9th from 6-8 PM! VBS is for kids ages 4 years old through 5th The VBS is only open to GPBC families as well as families living at Stephen’s Creek apartments. The cost of the VBS is $10 per child, I will send out a registration link soon!

I pray that as your family enjoys the sunshine that you are able to recognize and celebrate the fact that God is always near! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

God Bless,
Sally Bland
