Can you believe it….we get to worship together, in-person, this week! I have been looking forward to this for months, I miss worshiping Jesus as a community! While we hope you are able to attend in-person services, we will be continuing to post online children’s lessons for any family who decides to stay at home. **Please note, pre-registration is required to attend main service at 9 AM or 11 AM in the auditorium, but no pre-registration is required for kids and students to attend 11 AM Children's and Youth programs.

This week in The Big God Story we will see how God Created the World as we look at Genesis 1! You can find the video lesson online anytime on our Kids and Families Resource Page or on GPBC's Facebook and Instagram pages at 9 AM on Sunday morning.

If your kids are able to attend Children’s Ministry programs at 11 AM on Sunday morning, we want you to know that your family’s health is important to us. We are taking the following safety precautions to help protect our community during the ongoing pandemic as we gather together:

  • All volunteers and children who are 5 years or older are required to wear a mask. Children younger than 5 years-old can wear masks if they would like to, but it is not required.
  • All Children’s Ministry programs will be upstairs or outside. We are not permitted to go downstairs unless there is an emergency. This allows us to have 50 people downstairs during worship service, and 50 people upstairs in Children’s Ministry!
  • Parents and kids must use the upstairs entrance to check-in and pick-up for Children’s programs. Parents must then walk outside to the front entrance to check-in for church.
  • Every child and volunteer must check-in and have their temperatures checked before entering the classroom (anyone with a temperature over 100.5⁰F will not be able to enter).
  • Children and volunteers will be encouraged to maintain physical distancing during Sunday services. We understand this may not always be possible in Children’s Ministry especially with young children.
  • Class sizes will be based on the size of the room to allow for physical distancing. Elementary (max 20) will be in the Mt. Hood/St. Helens (Big God Story) rooms. The Preschool/Nursery (max 8) will be down the hall in the Mt. Tabor room.
  • Tables and supplies will be set up in the Elementary and Preschool rooms so each child has their own space to work without having to share pens/crayons/etc.
  • Individually packaged snacks will be given to the children. All volunteers and students will need to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer, prior to handing out snacks.

We have missed you and are excited to start another year growing closer to Jesus with you and your family! l pray God will protect your family and keep you healthy and safe through the uncertainty of the pandemic and wildfires. I look forward to seeing you at church on Sunday!

God Bless,
Sally Bland
