Jeremiah 29:1-9 (NIV)

Summary

God sends a message in the form of a letter from Jeremiah to new Jewish exiles in Babylon. There were over 3,000 people relocated up north to Babylon after they invaded and captured Judah. False prophets were telling them that Babylon would soon be defeated and they could all go home, but God had other plans.
